DIY Bulk flowers for weddings and events
DIY FLOWER BUCKETS
Looking for a budget friendly way to have gorgeous flowers at your wedding or event? Our DIY flower buckets deliver exceptional quality straight from our flower fields right here in southeast Wisconsin. Each bucket features a unique selection of the most gorgeous flowers and greenery you can get your hands on. Flowers are harvested the day before you pick them up, are chemical-free, and bring a unique beauty to your special day.
Flower buckets are available July - mid October. We serve the Milwaukee area and all of southeast Wisconsin.
All buckets include focal flowers, filler flowers and greenery. We cannot guarantee color palettes but instead offer a ‘farmer’s choice’ color option of the best and freshest flower available at the time of your event. We style our buckets in attractive matching colors that go together wonderfully in arrangements. That being said, we grow many different colors and styles of flowers (including the very popular white, blush, pink, peach and burgundy). We can aim to work within your color scheme, but cannot guarantee it. We do offer bridal and bridesmaid bouquets and boutonnieres (please indicate in the inquiry form below)
How to order flower buckets: Fill out the inquiry form below and we will respond promptly. It’s important to reserve your buckets as early as possible as we can only offer as many flowers as our fields hold and events fill up quickly.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
DIY flower buckets typically cost significantly less than full-service floral design because you’re purchasing farm-fresh blooms without labor, setup, or breakdown fees. Most couples love that they can invest in higher-quality flowers and more abundant arrangements while keeping it budget friendly.

Locally grown flowers are fresher and more fragrant than those flown in from places like South America. They are also more unique than what’s found in the grocery store or other over the counter flower shops. Finally, you are supporting a small business that farms in a sustainable manner and is a haven for local pollinators!

Unfortunately, no. Since we design with what we grow, requesting a tulip in August just isn’t possible since they bloom in April and May. We do try and work within a color palette to a degree based on availability but can’t make any promises well in advance of your date. We’ll always have the best, freshest blooms available from our fields for your event.

This is going to depend on how many arrangements and bouquets you would like. For example, a quart sized mason jar arrangement is typically 13-15 stems, bud vases would hold 1-3 flowers, and a medium sized handheld bouquet is about 20 stems. Before purchasing, create a list of arrangements and bouquets you desire and itemize and calculate the number of stems you need.

It is best to pick them up one day prior (two at most). We recommend arranging your vases and creating your bouquets the day before your event. It takes longer than you think to create arrangements, and you want the event day as stress free as possible!

No. All flower buckets must be picked up here at our location in Slinger

Whether they are still in their buckets, or already arranged, before the event, store flowers in a cool dark place (e.g. basement or other darker area). Never put flowers in the refrigerator (ethylene gas emitted from food will cause havoc on your blooms). Definitely keep them out of sunlight as heat and light exposure reduce vase life.
